Qatar News: Introducing Magnum-11. WJ Groundwater’s new Cricket Team!

Named after one of the best sump pumps money can buy, WJ Groundwater’s Qatar office has assembled a crack squad of cricket players consisting of management and site staff.

“It’s a great opportunity for staff to have fun, and we’ve invited all staff members to participate regardless of skill ability because it’s the social aspects that are as important as the sportsmanship,” said team manager Govindaswamy Shankar.

The team already meets for practice at the Corniche in central Doha, and the sessions have proved enjoyable and successful. The guys start their practice meets with a warm up before getting into the game. As you can see from the picture, WJ Groundwater’s logo is on the team jersey, so we’re fully supportive of the social endeavour and hope to get our branding seen by as many people as possible.

The team sees the assembly of a cricket team as a staff welfare landmark for the Qatar office in WJ Groundwater. We look forward to keeping you up to date with their progress when they meet other teams in the local Qatar cricket league.
